Love

I've realized that loving God is a daily battle, or more like a daily decision that I have to make.

Lesson #3: My love for God should be evident in everything that I do.

Deuteronomy 6:5 says: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might." - but not only that...

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart." - Deut 6:6

"You shall teach them diligently to your children.."
"..and shall talk of them when you sit in your house.."
"..and when you walk by the way.."
"..and when you lie down.."
"..and when you rise." [Deut 6:7]

"You shall bind them as a sign on your hand.."
"..and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes." [Deut 6:8]

"You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." [Deut 6:9]

So I not only need to love God with everything I am, I also need to keep this command on my heart always.

I need to teach this to the youth within my ministry, and talk about this love in my house. I need to remember my love for Christ everywhere I go, remember it when I am going to sleep and when I am waking up.

I need to remember my love for God in everything that I do with my hands, and everything I see with my eyes.

I need for people to know of my love for God when they come into my house as well as into my room.

My love for God should be evident in everything I do.

  1. I totally agree! =) This post reminds me of my role as a wife. When I am loving God with all my heart, then that flows over to Chuck and to the rest of the world as well.
